Oswestry’s premier chip shop is located on the edge of the town centre, just yards from the entrance to the main car park.
Established in 1976 and family run ever since.
Oswestry’s biggest and best chippy!
The Food Standards Agency, in partnership with local authorities, is introducing the national Food Hygiene Rating Scheme in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and the Food Hygiene Information scheme in Scotland. The schemes help consumers choose where to eat out or shop for food by giving them information about the hygiene standards in restaurants, cafés, takeaways, hotels and food shops. The schemes also encourage businesses to improve hygiene standards. The overarching aim is to reduce the incidence of foodborne illness.
The Salop Fish Bar can proudly say that it has always achieved the maximum rating of five.
You can search for information about hygiene standards at restaurants, takeaways and food shops at www.food.gov.uk/ratings

A little hidden gem just a 5 minute walk from the main part of town. We come here every time we visit Oswestry; greeted by friendly staff and always clean. The food is beautiful and always served piping hot, the fish is always cooked to perfection and the prices are very modest despite how lovely the food is. 5 stars!
